Dear Diary,
the sauna/ice plunge enclosure is done. I shall call it… Jazbina.
A grotesque and unwelcome place, a symbol of the despair one feels when entering the near-zero temperature of the Kinos.
It is two shelves, a small heater, a cabinet, and some decorative walls away from being less hostile and more usable, but we’re getting there. Corporeal hyperoptimization, here we come! 🔥🧊🔥🧊🔥🧊
My leg is feeling significantly better since I started cycling every day and doing 5km of walking. I walk with less pain and I think my unstretched squat is deeper. I am curious to hear what the PT folks will say on Monday. I am noticing less pain in my back too, already - probably from the core exercises and increase in walking.
Manageable Goals
As a reminder, the goals I have for myself this year are:
do something physically challenging every day
do something mentally challenging every day
try to walk 5+ km every day
stay below 75kg of weight
do 1 focused hour of at least one of the following activities every day:
ukulele practice
illustration
coding
reading
read two books per month and write a short review of each.
No rigid numbers, no too-hard-to-follow discipline. Just be better. Every day.
