Dear Diary,
sauna/ice plunge enclosure construction finally started today. I should have a recovery hub up and running soon 🤞
This morning the leg felt really good - very little pain and discomfort. Could it be that the 5km walks and what little muscle work I do actually have such an effect already. Will keep an eye on it.
Restarted supplements again too, gotta get back into the groove for when therapy starts up again.
I did forget to mention in Kneejerk 129 that I actually went climbing again - very low heights and no jumps, but just to get a feel for the grips again. Did an 8m rope, and some low boulders. The hall in the town next to mine isn’t really too versatile, hard routes and not too beginner friendly, so I could not really go all out, but even with this little 45min climb I already felt a massive burn in my forearms. With trigger finger gone, I think it is time to reintroduce grip and wrist training.
Manageable Goals
As a reminder, the goals I have for myself this year are:
do something physically challenging every day
do something mentally challenging every day
try to walk 5+ km every day
stay below 75kg of weight
do 1 focused hour of at least one of the following activities every day:
ukulele practice
illustration
coding
reading
read two books per month and write a short review of each.
No rigid numbers, no too-hard-to-follow discipline. Just be better. Every day.
